Winter is dragging on this year, but that is not stopping Darren McDonald and Danny Szakacs from Canada. They are both in town for the week with their families visiting theme parks and getting a little time in the slalom course. Darren is working on a new handle grip, better direction and much better balance through his offside turn. Danny is actually learning to run the course for the first time, he has got very close in only 3 sets and is making 1,3,4, 5 & 6 and I predict we will have him through a complete course in the next sets or two. Great skiing guys!
Darren got his drysuit and Danny wants to use it, the shorty is coming up a little short this week.

Our kids have had a busy weekend off and on the water, first picture shows Finnley at gymnastics, Sam has been riding his wakeboard and ripping up the slalom course even in the cold weather and Finnley and her little friend Finnlay built a run for the the Guinea pigs Chip & Gucci.
Finnley also learnt to ride her 2 wheel bike without her stabilizers on!

Mario Andres is on the water!

Mario Andres Mustafer from Peru came to Orlando in early January to spend six months living with our English family, to go to an English speaking school and also to be able to train on his water skiing after school. Unfortunately Mario fell sick prior to arriving in Orlando and he has only now been given the all clear to start training in physical sports. You should have seen his face yesterday when he finally got the all clear to take to the water and start his training.

Glen Bowker, Student of the Day

Glen Dropped in again today after skiing here last on Christmas day, Glen is from Toronto Canada and in town for a business conference, a perfect excuse for a ski ride mid Canadian winter. After one set on Christmas day, a theory set on the dock and another set on the lake today, Glen is really starting put some great turns together with much more efficiency across the course. Great skiing Glen, you are ready for that new Insta Slalom course you and your brother plan to put in your lake this summer. Have a great time on the water with your Bro in 2010!

Kevin Barker, Student of the Week

Kevin Barker came to ski with us having never been to ski school before. Kevin first skied at a young age and is now coming back to learn more with his young family, now that he is married with 2 young children.
Kevin is an avid motorcycle rider and ice hockey player, but is ready to spend more time on the water in 2010.



Kevin looking in great position and control on his ski now, he's ready for a great season of water with his family. We are looking forward to the whole family returning in March.

Big celebrations for Marco's Birthday, we had a great dinner and great company. Kevin Barker from Chicago who is also taking lessons with us this week, joined the party.

We would like to wish Marco a fantastic Birthday and time on the water here in Orlando, Marco has been skiing with us for many a year, whether it be here in Orlando or at Princes in London. Marco has been on a world tour traveling around catching up with his skiing Buddies, prior to coming here he was in Australia and New Zealand. Have a great day Buddy and a few drinks tonight!
