August 30th and it's the finals of the King of the Course and the Princes Pro-Am, after two challenging windy days on the water we have come down to the third round and the final day of the regular Amateurs and Pro's competition. The top eight scores from the Pro's three rounds of regular competition will advance onto the Head to Head cash prize round this afternoon. The top skiers in the world will be battling it out for cash, a Breitling watch and to become the 2009 King of the Course. Chris Rossi from the USA is the only skier so far this year to have completed a full pass on the 10.75 meter line, this should have set the ball rolling for some fantastic slalom in today final competition. Princes Pro-Am King of the Course 2009

The 2009 Princes Pro-Am is officially open with the first days competition for the Amatures is complete, dispite some very blustery conditions there were still some personal best scores. The weather is set to improve slightly over the weekend with more sunshine, although the wind will still play a big part in the conditions.

Wiz Kidz to look out for on the water!

Here are some of the amazingly talented kids I have come across on the water this summer whilst traveling the UK ski club. It's great see the enthusiasm in the young skiers again, I remember thinking last summer that there did not seem to be many skiers coming through with high drive for the sport but this year there really is a will to push hard from many youngstersr around the county. This positive drive from the skiers will perpetuate and inspire their friends and ultimately more kids to get involved and ski more!

My training at the Princes Club

Training at Princes was much more fun today, the weather was calm and the sun shining! I am looking forward to 27c Sunday for my last day of training this week. I will take Monday and Tuesday rest from training, whilst I holding two days of Coaching Clinics at Church Wilne Ski Club near Long Eaton Nottinghamshire. I am also looking forward to seeing and staying with my Brother & Parents for two days, it's been some time since we have all been together for a family Dinner.

Seaton Tournament Lake at the Princes Club is all ready to recieve the Worlds best Slalom skiers who will be taking part in next weekends Pro-Am. The King of Slalom will be crowned on Bank Holiday Sunday!

I have three students of the week this week, Charlotte Moore, Ben Thompson & Charlie Thompson who have all skied with me this week at Princes. Charlie has run a new PB of 1.5@12 meters. Ben is close to A new PB and working on new Technique and Charlotte Moore is also working on following her ski rather than the boat.
