Well I caught up with the British in Orlando today and trained out at Andy Mapples site on Lake Hancock , a very familiar training site for me as I trained on Hancock for 11 years with Andy going back to 1995. The area has changed a great deal since then, its much more convenient when going for fuel these days. Back in the day, we would have to drive at least 10 miles to get gas or food but there were plenty of Oranges to be had!
Looking forward to another good days training tomorrow, the water is a fair bit warmer here than Calgary but not as warm as I was expecting. It is usually in the 90s in July-August but high levels of afternoon rain storms over the past few days had cooled it down tot the low 80s. After training Hancock on Sunday and Monday, I will head back to Grand Rapids, Michigan to Train Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning before heading out to Calgary. The water Temp will be very close to what we will have in Canada, making the transition for warm water a little easier.
Training today was strong, so looking for another good days prep.
